Job Description

Req: 492246

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Junior Project Manager in Katowice we’re looking for?

Your future role

In this role you will support planning, coordinating and delivering complex, multi-discipline rail infrastructure projects executed in consortia with other partners on the domestic market. You will have a real impact on how our projects are organised and executed, helping to keep activities on track, risks under control and our customers informed.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Support in preparing and updating project structures, schedules and work plans.

  • Coordinate inputs from engineering and other functions to keep the project plan realistic and up to date.

  • Assist in identifying, analysing and tracking project risks, and in following up on mitigation actions.

  • Help prepare project documentation, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support the preparation and follow-up of contracts and agreements with partners and subcontractors.

  • Monitor project progress, non-conformities and lessons learned, ensuring that information is properly recorded and shared.

  • Participate in project meetings with the customer and consortium partners, sometimes on site at the client’s location in Poland.

All about you

We know that potential comes in many forms and we do not expect you to tick every box. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • University degree, preferably in a technical field (engineering or similar) combined with knowledge or certification in project management methods.

  • Understanding of multi-discipline investment or infrastructure projects

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow up on many topics in parallel.

  • Flexibility and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach

  • Confidence in building relationships with different stakeholders and working as a team player across functions.

  • Very good command of English and Polish, both spoken and written.

  • Driving licence and readiness for occasional business trips within Poland.

Things you'll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Be part of a supportive project team led by an experienced manager who values openness, collaboration and continuous learning.

  • Take part in large, visible rail projects that have a real, positive impact on everyday mobility in Poland.

  • Have a clear growth path from Junior Project Manager towards independent Project Manager responsibilities, with plenty of learning opportunities along the way.

  • Enjoy a hybrid work model (typically 3 days in the office / 2 days from home) combined with predictable working hours and no regular overtime.

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards senior positions

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, sports card)
