The Opportunity
At Hitachi Energy, you contribute to projects that power the energy transition. As Junior Project Finance Analyst, you support project execution by turning data into insight and ensuring financial transparency across complex engineering projects.
You work closely with project controllers, project managers, and finance teams. You help monitor project performance, support reporting and forecasting, and improve financial processes through data analytics and automation. This role is ideal for a technically oriented graduate who wants to build a career in project finance, controlling, and business performance analysis within an international engineering environment.
You gain hands-on exposure to large-scale projects, modern financial systems, and cross‑functional collaboration—while developing strong foundations in project controlling.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Support monitoring of project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance
Assist with monthly financial reporting, dashboards, and KPI tracking
Contribute to cost‑to‑complete analyses and project reviews
Develop and maintain reports using Power BI, Excel, and analytics tools
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and risks
Support reporting automation and process optimization initiatives
Help ensure data accuracy across reporting and project systems
Collaborate with project, finance, and operational teams globally
Your Background
Master’s or Engineering degree in Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
First experience or internship in finance, controlling, or data analysis
Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset
Experience with Power BI, Excel, or data visualization tools
Basic understanding of financial reporting or project KPIs is a plus
Familiarity with ERP systems or databases is an advantage
Curious, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn in a project environment
