Our project controls team has upcoming opportunities for Junior or Intermediate Project Controls Engineers Join our Project Controls Team in Colombia and contribute to the successful delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Our engineering and project management professionals manage our clients’ entire project lifecycle from studies to building assets, operating the assets, and developing efficiencies.

We are looking for proactive, curious, and committed professionals with experience in Project Controls, or new graduated engineers that would like to join this dynamic and challenging discipline. The heart of the projects! With their strong communications skills, Project Controls Engineers can adapt quickly to the different challenges that our projects will demand.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Junior or Intermediate Project Control Engineer, you will work directly with project managers or other Senior Project Controls Engineers and Leads, engineering teams, finance departments, and external partners to ensure proper control, reporting and forecasting, helping with the implementation of the control procedures, systems and requirements on different projects.

As a Junior or Intermediate Project Controls Engineer, you should be able to support with some of the following tasks:

Project Set Up

Cost and Resource Management

Change Management

Reporting & Analysis

What you bring:

  • Between 0 to 6 years of experience in project controls and project environment with knowledge of Engineering/Service Control, but not limited to Cost Control, Planning, and Project Management best practices.
  • Experience in dynamic projects environments

Knowledge in the following disciplines

  • Hatch Service Cost Control – Ability to understand composite Project budgets, forecasting final costs and the control of the budget. Full management of Project Trends and Changes to determine legitimacy and estimated impact to project schedule and budget.
  • Earned Value Methodology – Ability to collect data to generate EV KPIs (CPI, SPI, PF) to efficiently report internally and to clients.
  • Engineering Control – Knowledge on rules of credit principals and progress curves generation. Ability to verify weekly progress and constantly work on forecast reporting.

Preferred

  • Experience in using reporting standards, formats and frequency.
  • Knowledge of EV principles.
  • General Engineering knowledge (or interest), together with the understanding of the fundamentals of engineering models and construction drawings
  • Possesses strong personal computer and systems skills (MS Office package / SAP / P6).
  • Ability to work under pressure and a key factor is that the incumbent is deliverables driven.
  • Interpersonal skills, especially the ability to deal with people, staff and stakeholders.
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills
