In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

The work model for the role is: hybrid (8 office days per month).

This role is contributing to the Procurement Team in EUOPC.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Managing the end-to-end PR to PO process for procurement activities in SAP, ensuring compliance with procurement standards and business requirements.
  • Monitoring open purchase orders, following up with suppliers, coordinating Goods Receipt (GR) activities, and supporting timely invoice processing and payment resolution.
  • Tracking procurement processes and operational performance, creating and maintaining reports, and ensuring data accuracy in line with ABB standards and procedures.
  • Maintaining effective communication with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, while resolving procurement-related issues regarding cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Supporting supplier lifecycle activities, including supplier registration, qualification, escalation management, and first-level support for procurement-related inquiries.
  • Executing purchasing and logistics-related changes within the assigned scope, maintaining SAP master data, and supporting SAP and SAP Ariba system maintenance activities.


Qualifications for the role:

  • Proficient in business English (B2/C1) and German (B2/C1)
  • You are highly skilled in operational procurement and supply chain processes and enjoy working in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • You have experience in operational procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, supporting end-to-end procurement activities and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP; hands-on experience with SAP Ariba is considered a strong advantage.
  • You are highly adept in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with procurement data, reporting, and process tracking.
  • You are passionate about customer service and are innovative around problem-solving, teamwork, and building effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • You demonstrate a proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented approach, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
