The
Junior Process Automation Specialist
is an entry-level member of the EnterpriseApplications Team responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance ofautomated business processes using tools such as PowerShell, UiPath, and Domo. Reporting tothe Integration and Automation Manager, this role requires foundational technical skills tocontribute to automation initiatives that streamline and improve business operations. The roleinvolves both building new automations and providing support to identify, troubleshoot, andresolve issues in existing automated workflows.
Key Responsibilities
1.
IT Team Collaboration
Provide technical support for automated workflows and business processes to IT andbusiness teams.
Assist in gathering automation requirements and follow established security andcompliance practices.
2.
Process Automation Development
Develop, test, and maintain automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell, UiPath,and Domo.
Automate simple business processes according to specifications and business needs.
Apply competency in scripting and workflow design to deliver reliable automation solutions.
3.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Monitor automated processes to ensure successful execution and data integrity.
Identify, investigate, and resolve failures or errors in automated workflows.
Document root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4.
Documentation & Maintenance
Develop and maintain clear documentation for automation scripts, workflows, andconfigurations.
Perform regular maintenance and updates to automation solutions, ensuring compliancewith organizational policies.
Implement error-handling and contingency plans for automation failures.
5.
Agile Collaboration
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and backlog refinement.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business users to deliver automation projects ontime and within scope.
Research new automation tools and best practices to enhance technical capabilities.
Skills, Competencies, Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, orrelated field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience
0-2 years of professional experience in IT, automation, or process improvement.
Automation Tools
Familiarity with Powershell, Python or another scripting language.Familiarity with low/no code workflow automation tools
Troubleshooting
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in identifying andresolving process failures.
Development Tools
Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and workflow monitoringplatforms.
Communication
Clear technical communication skills for documentation and support.
Work Style
Ability to work independently on technical tasks while collaborating effectivelywithin IT and business teams.
Required Technical Competencies
Scripting and workflow development in PowerShell, UiPath, and Domo.
Monitoring and troubleshooting of automated processes.
Documentation of automation solutions and incident resolution.
Version control and deployment of automation scripts.
Basic understanding of business process analysis and improvement.
