Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Power Platform Developer with 0–2 years of experience to support the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of business applications and workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in low-code development, business process automation, data modelling, and Microsoft 365 integration, with relevant Microsoft certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications using Microsoft Power Apps, including canvas apps and model-driven apps.
- Build and maintain automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to improve business process efficiency.
- Work with SharePoint, Excel, SQL, and other data sources to support application and workflow requirements.
- Support the creation of forms, screens, business rules, validations, approval flows, and notifications based on business needs.
- Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, analysts, and senior developers to understand requirements and convert them into Power Platform solutions.
- Assist in integrating Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and approved third-party systems.
- Support basic Power BI reporting requirements by connecting to approved data sources, preparing simple datasets, and creating dashboards or reports that complement Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
- Support basic troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and issue resolution for Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
- Follow application lifecycle management practices, documentation standards, naming conventions, and security guidelines.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, peer reviews, solution walkthroughs, and continuous learning activities.
Required Technical Skills
- Basic hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dataverse.
- Understanding of canvas apps, model-driven apps, forms, galleries, controls, formulas, connectors, and reusable components.
- Basic knowledge of Power Fx formulas, expressions, variables, collections, and data binding concepts.
- Familiarity with Power Automate cloud flows, triggers, actions, conditions, approvals, expressions, and error handling.
- Basic understanding of Dataverse tables, columns, relationships, business rules, security roles, and solution packaging.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, and OneDrive.
- Basic understanding of Power BI concepts, including datasets, data modelling, measures, visuals, report pages, dashboards, filters, slicers, and publishing reports to Power BI Service.
- Familiarity with connecting Power BI to SharePoint, Excel, Dataverse, SQL, and other Microsoft data sources to support simple business reporting needs.
- Basic awareness of DAX, Power Query, data refresh, report sharing, workspace management, and data access controls is preferred.
- Basic understanding of APIs, connectors, JSON, REST concepts, and integration patterns is preferred.
- Awareness of Power Platform environments, governance, security, role-based access, and application lifecycle management.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in application development, low-code/no-code development, workflow automation, business applications, or relevant internship/project experience.
- Strong academic or practical exposure to application development fundamentals, databases, business process automation, and Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into simple, scalable, and user-friendly Power Platform solutions.
- Good analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new Microsoft technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Good to have Certification Requirement
Candidates must hold at least one relevant Microsoft Power Platform or Power BI certification, or complete the certification before joining or within a defined onboarding period. Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals, or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate. Certification evidence should be validated during the hiring process.

Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, TypeScript, or .NET for extending Power Platform solutions.
- Basic knowledge of Power Apps Component Framework, custom connectors, plug-ins, or Dataverse extensions.
- Awareness of Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, and API Management.
- Exposure to Power BI dashboards, reports, data models, Power Query transformations, basic DAX measures, and publishing reports to Power BI Service.
- Optional exposure to AI adoption within Microsoft Power Platform, such as using Copilot features, AI Builder, prompt-based automation, intelligent document processing, or AI-assisted app and workflow development.
- Experience with academic projects, internships, or capstone projects involving Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, or Microsoft 365 automation.
