Job Description

Junior PMO Analyst

Level: Entry‑level / Early career
Experience: Interest in PMO/project work, self‑study, bootcamp graduates, or up to 12 months’ experience

About the Role

We’re partnering with an organisation that’s looking for a Junior PMO Analyst to support projects and programmes across the business. This role is a great fit for someone early in their career who wants to learn how projects are planned, governed, and delivered in a real operational environment.

You’ll work closely with the PMO team, supporting Project and Programme Managers with reporting, scheduling, financial tracking, and general governance activities. Over time, you’ll build confidence and develop strong PMO skills through hands‑on experience, clear processes, and guidance from experienced colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll support the delivery teams by:

  • Keeping project and programme documentation up to date (plans, RAID logs, status reports)
  • Managing and maintaining project plans, including scheduling, resourcing, and overall programme coordination
  • Supporting forecasting activities, including forecast vs. actuals analysis
  • Assisting with financial tasks such as revenue tracking, CCI, profitability, solution contingency, and basic budgeting
  • Handling T&M invoicing and associated administrative processes
  • Updating PMO dashboards and producing regular governance reports
  • Preparing materials for governance meetings, including presentations and reporting packs (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Helping maintain accurate data across project tools and spreadsheets
  • Supporting governance through data analysis, reporting, and adherence to PMO frameworks
  • Developing foundational knowledge across Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate)
  • Ensuring PMO standards, templates, and ways of working are consistently followed
  • Building an understanding of how projects are prioritised, governed, and delivered at portfolio level

You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, grow your confidence, and gradually take on more responsibility.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

To do well in this role, you’ll need:

  • An interest in projects, change delivery, or PMO work
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Confidence working with data, spreadsheets, and reports
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to learn, take feedback, and follow structured processes
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance

We welcome applications from:

  • Bootcamp graduates
  • Career changers interested in PM/PMO
  • Anyone with up to 12 months’ experience in project support, PMO, or delivery

Desirable (Not Required)

These aren’t essential, but they’re a bonus:

  • Foundation project qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation, APM PFQ, Agile/Scrum Foundation)
  • Experience with Power BI or reporting tools
  • Good Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data validation)
  • Any experience supporting projects, even outside a formal PMO role
  • Familiarity with project artefacts like RAID logs, plans, or status reports

If you’re working towards any of these, that’s absolutely fine.

Benefits

What We Offer

  • A supportive environment focused on your development
  • Clear PMO standards, templates, and guidance
  • Exposure to real projects and programmes
  • Coaching from experienced PMO and delivery professionals
  • A strong platform to progress into roles such as:
    • PMO Analyst
    • Project Manager
    • Programme Support / Delivery roles

Our Approach to Hiring

We care more about your potential, attitude, and willingness to learn than a long list of qualifications. If you’re organised, curious, and genuinely interested in how projects come together, we’ll give you the structure and support to build a strong career in delivery.
