Junior Platform Security Operator

Cryptography, Proxy & Firewall Services

You will work as part of the Platform Security team and support the daily operational activities related to cryptographic services, proxy platforms, firewall governance, and secure connectivity solutions.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in enterprise security operations while working alongside experienced security engineers and specialists.

We are looking for a Junior Platform Security Operator who will support the team in maintaining and improving security services across the organization.

You will assist senior engineers with operational activities, documentation, service requests, and security governance processes while developing expertise in platform security technologies.

This role provides broad exposure to cryptography, certificates, secure communications, proxy services, firewall management, and security operations.

Key Responsibilities

Cryptography & Certificate Services Support

• Support the day-to-day operations of certificate and cryptographic services.
• Assist with certificate lifecycle management activities, including issuance, renewal, replacement, and revocation.
• Monitor certificate validity and follow up on upcoming expirations.
• Support troubleshooting activities related to certificates and secure communications.
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures.

Firewall & Network Security Support

• Support daily operational activities related to firewall platforms.
• Assist in reviewing firewall rule requests and access requirements.
• Participate in firewall governance and control reviews.
• Help track and manage security-related change requests.
• Support implementation and maintenance of secure connectivity solutions.

Proxy Services Support

• Support operational activities related to proxy and secure web gateway services.
• Assist in onboarding applications and services to proxy platforms.
• Help investigate proxy-related incidents and connectivity issues.
• Support the review and implementation of configuration changes.
• Maintain related documentation and operational procedures.

Governance, Risk & Compliance Support

• Assist in collecting evidence for audits and security reviews.
• Support control verification and compliance activities.
• Help track remediation actions and improvement plans.
• Maintain documentation supporting security governance activities.

Operational Excellence

• Follow operational procedures, standards, and runbooks.
• Monitor service health and assist in incident resolution.
• Escalate issues when required and support root-cause investigations.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Support KPI and reporting activities.

Collaboration

Work closely with:

Contribute to the secure operation and continuous improvement of security services across the organization.

Technical Profile

Basic Knowledge Required

• Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, TCP/IP, DNS).
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts.
• Understanding of authentication and encryption principles.
• Ability to follow operational procedures and technical documentation.

Interest In

• Cryptography and PKI technologies.
• Certificate lifecycle management.
• Firewall technologies and network security.
• Proxy and secure web gateway services.
• Security operations and governance.

Tools and Technologies

Familiarity with or willingness to learn:

• Certificate Management Platforms
• PKI and Cryptographic Services
• Firewall Platforms (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet)
• Proxy Technologies
• Security Monitoring Tools
• Cloud Security Services

Nice To Have

• First experience or internship in IT Operations, Infrastructure, Networking, or Security.
• Basic understanding of PKI and digital certificates.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
• Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Relevant certifications or training such as:
  • Security+
  • Network+
  • CCNA
  • Azure Fundamentals
