Junior Personal Injury Paralegal (Medical Negligence)

Longton Compensation Lawyers is seeking a capable Junior Personal Injury Paralegal (Medical Negligence) to support solicitors and senior paralegals in the management and progression of personal injury medical negligence matters. The role is responsible for assisting with file administration, client communication, evidence gathering, document preparation, and ensuring matters progress efficiently. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, client-focused service.

What’s Involved:

  • Open new matters and ensure correct file setup
  • Maintain up-to-date, organised, and correctly named electronic files
  • Monitor and diarise critical dates, statutory time limits, and court deadlines
  • Assist in preparing briefs to counsel and medical experts
  • Maintain regular contact with clients, providing updates and collecting information when required
  • Assist with completing statutory forms and obtaining supporting documentation (e.g., Medicare/Centrelink/ATO)
  • Prepare routine correspondence to obtain medical records, employment files, and other relevant documents
  • Assist solicitors in preparing legal advice by compiling authorities and references
  • Follow up outstanding requests and ensure timely receipt of required information
  • Assist with preparation for mediations, settlement conferences, and hearings
  • Prepare informal settlement, mediation, and hearing bundles of documents
