Our Hamilton, Washington facility specializes in manufacturing and machining large, complex composite and metallic structures for the aerospace and space exploration markets.

Department Summary

The Junior Operations Planner supports the development and maintenance of production schedules at the cell level, with a focus on critical resource planning and daytoday operational coordination. This role works closely with Operations Managers, Production Managers, Project Managers, Program Planners, and the Master Scheduler to help ensure schedule accuracy, material readiness, and efficient use of key resources. The Junior Operations Planner may also assist in creating operation sheets and supporting budgeting activities for production processes.

  • Support daily schedule and budget inquiries from Program Management and Operations Management; develop an understanding of business systems, procedures, and integrated processes
  • Assist with levelloading cells within the assigned Cell Group to maintain accurate schedule status at the cell level
  • Perform material reconciliation activities for accounting and project tracking purposes
  • Maintain project schedules in the Company PDM system using templates, calculators, or released MBOMs under guidance
  • Communicate with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Operations Managers regarding schedule needs, including flowing down project information, linking documents, generating PDFs, and running work orders as directed
  • Run basic reports and graphs such as Schedule Reports and Cell Performance Reports; support the collection of lessons learned at the cell level
  • Participate in meetings with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Operations Managers to provide schedule updates and status information
  • Develop foundational understanding of Supply Chain Management from raw materials through final deliverables
  • Stay informed about production processes, required materials, and typical process durations; visit production cells to observe work in progress and assist in updating project status
  • Monitor celllevel schedules and help identify risks to meeting customer deadlines.
  • Use Unigraphics or CATIA (CAD/CAM software) at a basic level or as trained
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior, maintain professionalism under pressure, and meet multiple deadlines
  • Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Use ERP systems such as SAP, modeling software, Microsoft Office tools, and standard reporting dashboards to support celllevel scheduling and resource planning. This role uses standard office equipment along with basic shopfloor tools

Basic Qualifications

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous experience with scheduling software/ERP is preferred
  • Must rely on extensive experience, problem-solving skills and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Incumbent must possess the ability to work both independently and in a group setting
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

Detailed Wage Information

Wage range for this role is between$28 - $35/hour, plusbenefits and eligibility fora discretionary bonus. Employees may also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access assignments. Actual compensation will depend on job-related factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.

Shift Availability

Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 0600–1430. Some flexibility available.
