
Job responsibilities
Fabrication Operations
i) Supervise day-to-day fabrication activities including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.- Fit Up / Welding / Finish Grinding
ii) Ensure production targets are met as per plan with minimum downtime.
iii) Maintain and monitor fabrication schedules to meet customer delivery timelines.
Quality Assurance.
iv) Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO, IATF etc.) at every stage of fabrication. - Knowledge in Welding standards are mandatory
v) Coordinate with QA team to address internal/external quality complaints and implement corrective actions.
People Management:
vi) Lead, train, and motivate shop floor teams and contractors for productivity and skill enhancement.
vii) Ensure compliance with statutory and safety norms across operation
Maintenance Coordination:
viii) Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance of fabrication equipment and tools.
Process Improvement:
ix) Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
x) Implement Lean, 5S, and Kaizen practices on the shop floor.
Inventory & Resource Management:
xi) Monitor consumption of raw materials and consumables.
xii) Ensure availability of materials and tools for uninterrupted operations.
xiii) Customer Orientation:
xiv) Ensure fabrication output meets customer requirements in terms of specification and delivery timeline.
xv) Support resolution of customer complaints related to fabrication.

6. Knowledge , skills and experience (Minimum level)
Educational qualifications Diploma(Mechanical/ Electrical/ Production / )
Relevant experience 3 to 5 years of experience in Steel Making, Plate processing, Welding, Fabrication plant.
Competencies summary Technical Competencies: Metal Cutting, Metal forming, Bending, Drilling, Blasting and Painting. Behavioural Competencies: Team work, Leadership skills, Good communication skills, risk taker, Having Collaborative approach.
