We believe in the power of unique perspectives and want all voices in our organisation to be heard, respected and valued. FT Live is looking for a Junior Multimedia Designer to join our design team and help create engaging motion, video and visual content for our global events.
FT Live is a team of around 200 events experts delivering approximately 250 events each year around the world. Around 80 of these events require video assets, and the main focus of this role will be the hands-on production of moving image used to market and deliver them.
You’ll join a supportive and highly collaborative team of nine designers, all focused exclusively on FT events while staying closely connected with the FT’s wider design community. Working alongside the Senior Multimedia Designer, you’ll also support videography and photography at events, either creating content directly or helping to manage external suppliers.
Alongside multimedia work, you’ll have opportunities to develop your broader graphic design skills and, over time, potentially take responsibility for the design of an event from end to end. As this is a junior role, you’ll receive training and support as you develop your technical, creative and project management skills.
The role is full time at 35 hours per week, normally 9.30am–5.30pm on weekdays with one hour for lunch. There may also be limited opportunities to travel to support FT Live events in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
The following would be advantageous, although full training will be provided where needed:
Our benefits vary by location but we are committed to providing best-in-class perks across all our offices. These include generous annual leave, medical cover, inclusive parental leave packages, subsidised gym memberships and opportunities to give back to the community. Full details of our benefits are available here.
We currently operate a hybrid model which requires staff to work onsite 50% of the time, subject to role requirements & regular review. While flexible working requests will be considered, not all patterns are suitable for all roles. We believe this balanced approach supports flexibility and protects our culture, making collaboration and communication easier, building stronger relationships and team cohesion, and supporting peer learning. We reserve discretion on reasonable notice to change this approach either generally or for specific individuals or teams.
We are a disability confident employer and Valuable 500 signatory.
