The Junior MDM Specialist is responsible for the reliable operation of the TX Group’s mobile device management ecosystem across macOS, iOS, and Android, thereby ensuring a secure and seamless user experience for all personal and corporate mobile devices. This role is critical to minimizing device-related issues and security risks and supporting our Group’s productivity and operational excellence.
MDM Strategy and Security Posture:
Support the roadmap, architecture, and standards for Mobile Device Management (MDM) in alignment with the global IT strategy and security requirements
Define and enforce security policies, compliance requirements, and data protection mechanisms for the entire fleet of mobile devices (macOS, iOS, Android).
Evaluate and recommend new MDM technologies, features, and configurations to continuously improve security, compliance, and end-user productivity.
Deployment and Lifecycle Management:
Develop and implement automated, contactless enrollment and deployment processes for all corporate devices using Apple DEP/Business Manager and other relevant tools.
Ensure continuous monitoring, patching, and configuration management of the MDM environment to guarantee high availability and optimal performance.
Lead the successful deployment of enterprise applications and profile configurations via the MDM platform, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to best security practices.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, operating manuals, and disaster recovery procedures for all MDM-managed services and platforms.
Analyze tickets and monitoring data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for proactive system optimization and self-service improvement.
Expertise in Apple-centric MDM systems (policies, extension attributes, patch management) for the macOS/iOS fleet
Experience working with other MDM tools (e.g., Workspace ONE, Kandji, MobileIron)
Scripting in Bash/Zsh (macOS) to create custom extension attributes and remediation workflows
Knowledge of macOS’s internal security mechanisms (Gatekeeper, XProtect, TCC permissions, kernel/system extensions)
Ability to manage the “device lifecycle” from procurement to decommissioning
Ability to assess the current state of the device environment and visualize a “future state” or contribute to the creation of a roadmap
Ability to translate complex technical configurations into “self-help” articles for users
Willingness to train L1/L2 support staff in troubleshooting MDM systems
