We are now looking for a Junior Mechanic Machining to join our Mainteancne Shop Team located in Zuidland and who will support machining activities within the Service Center. You will learn to work with conventional and CNC machines, assist in preparation and execution of machining tasks and develop technical skills under guidance from experienced colleagues.

We ensure that compressors continue to operate for years to come through maintenance plans, supply of OEM parts, service calls and equipment modifications to today's technology or changed operating conditions and repairs. The Technicians perform under supervision of the Supervisor Shop Floor for compressor systems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment, particularly reciprocating compressors according with the customer’s set safety and quality requirements.

What Will You Do?

  • Assist with preparing work orders by gathering materials, tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Perform simple machining tasks under supervision (e.g., turning, milling, drilling).
  • Operate basic conventional machines; gradually train towards CNC operations.
  • Assist with measuring and inspecting parts according to instructions.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow instructions and work orders accurately.
  • Contribute to a safe and orderly workshop environment.
  • Learn to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Gain basic understanding of CNC controls.
  • Work closely with experienced machinists to build machining skills.

What will you bring?

Minimum Requirements:

  • MBO level 2–3 technical education (mechanical engineering, general technical studies, mechatronics) or demonstrated technical Skills.
  • Willingness to obtain VCA Basic certificate.
  • Eager to learn and motivated to develop machining skills.
  • Basic skills with measuring tools and hand tools.

Preferred:

  • Experience with turning or milling (through school, internship, or hobby).
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings or CNC controls like FANUC.
  • Any knowledge of compressor equipment is a plus but not mandatory.

Monthly gross base salary between €3.000,- and €4.000,- for a 40 hour work week (Actual offer will depend on exprience, knowledge and working background.)
