WinSport is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Marketing Specialist – Sales & Events, to support our Marketing team in promoting our world-class event spaces, in-house catering services, and the 3,000-seat WinSport Event Centre.

This junior role is ideal for someone who loves blending creativity with strategy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to help grow bookings for corporate events, meetings, weddings, team-building experiences, and more. You’ll spend 80% of your time supporting sales-focused marketing efforts and 20% assisting with marketing for concerts and live events that bring our venue to life.

What you will be doing:

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement, and bookings for WinSport’s Event Facilities and Food and Beverage services

  • Craft compelling narratives that highlight the uniqueness of our spaces and culinary offerings, uncovering and sharing stories that resonate with our diverse audiences

  • Oversee our third-party digital marketing partner to ensure campaigns are effectively planned, executed, and optimized to meet strategic objectives

  • Plan and execute small to medium-scale sales and marketing events aimed at showcasing our facilities and services to prospective and current clients

  • Monitor performance metrics, interpret data, and provide actionable insights to refine strategies and improve ROI

  • As a member of the internal marketing team, work cross-functionally with Sales, Event Services, and Food & Beverage teams to determine needs, develop marketing plans, and ensure cohesive messaging and alignment on goals

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail, delivering high-quality work on time and within scope

  • Manage listings on event platforms and venue directories to maximize visibility and reach

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our visual communication strategies

What you bring:

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

  • 3–5 years of marketing experience, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment, preferably with experience in event, venue, or hospitality marketing (hotels, catering, conferences)

  • Broad understanding of the marketing mix – you’re not a specialist in one area, but have a strong working knowledge of many

  • Savvy in all areas of social media, experience in working with an agency is considered an asset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – you know how to connect with different audiences (internally and externally) and bring ideas to life

  • Creative mindset with a strong instinct for storytelling and brand alignment

  • Analytical thinker with experience measuring success and making data-informed recommendations

  • Comfortable working with a variety of marketing tools/platforms including CMS, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools

  • Passion for events, hospitality, and live entertainment is a plus!
