Job Description

Our Client, a Karachi based company, seeks to appoint an experienced and seasoned professional for the following role:

Job Scope

To ensure all HSE Management Systems are in place to safeguard People, Plant and Process.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of HSE policy, and related company procedures during all operational/maintenance/ development activities within facility for safe, efficient and smooth operations.
• Inculcate positive HSE culture among all stakeholders through training, guidance and effective oversight.
• Conduct HSE inductions for all stakeholders to provide necessary information regarding precautions to be taken while within facility premises.
• Coordinate and resolve timely and efficient closure of HSE related observations and manage overall OHS of the facility.
• Conduct regular inspections of facility to identify and resolve any potential Hazard to safeguard people, plant and process
• Conduct periodic Risk Assessment of facility: its infrastructure, practices and projects to develop an action plan for minimizing risks.
• Ensure upkeep of Facility's firefighting network and conduct regular drills to ensure effective implementation of Facility ERP in case of any untoward incident.
• Coordinate for MAERP rejuvenation/ implementation and crisis management. Undertake any other task or function as maybe desired by the management

Education

• Minimum 16 years of education, preferably Master's from a renowned and HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder institution, preferably in Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 1-2 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position.

• Should possess relevant HSE/ OHS certifications such as NEBOSH, NFPA etc.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in the resolution/ management of day-to-day operational problems and risks with respect to OHS and HSE.
• Experience in handling HSE/OHS in infrastructural/ capital projects.
• Liaison with corporate HSE for resolution of facility HSE observations and developing/ managing compliances
• Coordinating with external agencies for permissions, License, Certificates relating to the facility.
• Ensuring HSE Compliance during execution of M&R / Projects jobs.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

Age

• The candidate should preferably be not more than 33 years of age as of the last date of submission of application.
