  • Monitor and optimize system performance for data-intensive processing pipelines and storage systems
  • Apply STIGs and security hardening to Linux systems in accordance with IC and NGA standards
  • Analyze system logs and metrics to troubleshoot performance, data flow, and system issues
  • Assist with deployment and support of containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Support data workflows including ingest, processing, storage, and dissemination
  • Document system configurations, discrepancies, and remediation efforts
  • Collaborate with software developers and analysts to ensure systems meet mission and data requirements
  • Participate in system testing, deployment, and operational sustainment in classified environments
  • Conduct cyclical inventory and maintain accountability of program hardware

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on, internship, or military technical experience)
  • Must have an existing and active TS/SCI security clearance, and sit for a Counter-Intelligence (CI) Poly
  • The ability and willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS
  • Active DoD IAT/IAM II 8140 Certification (SEC+, CISSP, CySA+ etc)
  • 1–3 years of experience working with Linux systems, preferably RHEL/CentOS
  • Strong familiarity with the Linux command line, system administration, and troubleshooting
  • Basic experience with system monitoring, log analysis, and performance tuning
  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles (system hardening, patching, least privilege)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, data transfer concepts)
  • Ability to work in a data-driven, mission-focused environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing 50+ pounds in equipment
