Our clientislookingforalegalcounseltoberesponsibleformanagingcustomer,vendor,andbusiness partner contracts. The position willreport to UK based Head of Legal Affairs for a sub-group currently comprised of fifteen companies. The legal function currently consists of 4 lawyers.

Thepositionrequiresanarticulate,self-motivatedindividualwhopossessesstrongorganizationskills and an ability to provide constructive criticism and challenge the businesses where appropriate. The candidate must be able to work well with people at all levels, across multiple companies, in various countries around the world. You'll be regularly working with colleagues and customers from all over the world in a truly borderless role.

Whattheyarelooking for

• We are looking for individuals who have proven significant experience in contract drafting, agreeing, and implementing commercial contracts. This is a role which will also have a balance of other general commercial work. It is important that the individual has the desire and aptitude to broaden their experience. The business has a multitude of different challenges, and the lawyer wouldneedto participateinabroadrangeoflegalmatters. Thisisasmallhighgrowthorganisation within a giant global corporate where the legal team need to provide a broad legal service to the senior stakeholders in the business. Commercial Contracts will involve 70% of the role.

• Youwillbealawyer of between 5 and 7 years’ experience

Thesuccessfulcandidatemust possess:

• Substantialexperienceofadvisingandnegotiatingawiderangeofcommercial contracts.

• Experienceofinternationalcontracts,orcontractssubjecttoforeignlawsand jurisdiction.

• Robustnegotiationskills,especiallyinthecontextofhigh-valuecontractswith customers.

• Experienceofworkingwith,orwithin,asoftwareorITcompanywouldbe beneficial.

• Experienceofsoftwarelicensingcontracts,togetherwithSaaS,IaaS,PaaS etc.

• Experienceofadvisinginrelationtodataprotectionissues(includingEUGDPR,UK GDPR).

• Abilitytoprioritizeandmanagetime efficiently.

• Abilitytomanagemultipleprojectswithshifting deadlines.

• Exemplifystrongattentiontodetail,judgement,anddecision making.

• Astrongcommunicatorabletointeractconfidentlywithseniorleveldecision makers.
