Job Description

At Jonsson Workwear, the reliability of our technology plays a critical role in enabling consistent, high-quality output across our operations. Every team in our business relies on stable systems and responsive support to keep work moving without interruption.

From supporting production teams on the factory floor to ensuring seamless connectivity between systems – to keep our eSwatini facility operating effectively, we’re looking for a hands-on Junior IT Support Engineer to join our Technology Team. If you're building your career in IT support and have a solid foundation of practical experience, this is your opportunity to grow your expertise in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

As part of the on-site team, your ability to resolve day-to-day technical issues efficiently will be key to ensuring operations continue without disruption. Working under the guidance of the IT Lead, you’ll play an important role in supporting users and maintaining system continuity across the factory.

This role goes beyond basic technical support. Your ability to troubleshoot under pressure, communicate clearly with users and escalate issues effectively will directly support production uptime and team efficiency. By being responsive and detail-focused, you’ll help ensure that technology continues to support the delivery of quality workwear at scale.

The Junior IT Support Engineer that supports our business will be required to:

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to factory, warehouse, and office users, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and peripheral issues affecting users and production systems.
  • Support shopfloor PCs, tablets, terminals, printers, scanners and other industrial devices.
  • Assist with barcode, RFID, label printing and scanning equipment used across the facility.
  • Support time & attendance and shopfloor data capture systems.
  • Conduct basic first-line network checks, including connectivity and device status.
  • Capture clear and detailed information when issues arise, especially where integration or system interfaces may be involved.
  • Perform basic diagnostics before escalating issues, ensuring accurate and efficient handover.
  • Escalate complex or integration-related issues to the IT Lead with relevant context and supporting detail.
  • Work with a sense of urgency in resolving or escalating issues where production impact is possible.

In line with Jonsson Workwear’s commitment to employment equity, applications from candidates from designated groups, as well as candidates with disabilities, are encouraged.
