The Junior Project Manager works to support the successful delivery of IT initiatives and IT Workstreams if presents inside of Business Project Initiatives. The incumbent will act as a key point of contact for project teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication, helping to address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle and help collaborate with project stakeholders to coordinate work performed by IT.The incumbent will also support compliance efforts, as it relates to contractual commitments. The role requires foundational knowledge of IT Technology (Applications i.e. ERP, Infrastructure, Data … ) PM practices (Waterfall/Agile), and methodologies, and strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. The incumbent will be responsible for helping the team drive the success of projects and ensuring they have a positive impact on the organization
Project planning Assist in the development of project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, tasks, and resource requirements.
Schedule and timeline management Monitor project progress against established timelines and schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
Documentation: Facilitate communication channels with cross-functional teams and document meeting notes.
Maintain accurate project documentation, such as project plans, status reports, technical specifications, and meeting minutes.
Resource coordination: Help manage and track project resources, such as personnel, equipment, and budget, to ensure efficient use and report to senior team members with regular updates.
Assist the team in tracking and preparing reports on project/program progress
Risk management: Help identify, track, and mitigate potential project risks and roadblocks that could affect project delivery and escalate to senior team members
Quality assurance: Research best practices, tools, and methodologies for project/program management. Monitor industry news and trends, contributing to the research of emerging trends and best practices in project management methodologies, information systems, and technologies
Team support: Contribute ideas and suggestions for improvement and innovation in the day-to-day activities of the project/program, answer questions, and help resolve issues as they arise.
