Job Description

This apprenticeship is specifically designed for those passionate about working on Heavy Commercial Vehicles. Mastering everything from routine maintenance and engine repair to advanced electrical systems and safety compliance.

This role is a 4 year apprenticeship, 38 hours a week.

As part of your apprenticeship with AGA you will be required to complete training with a registered training organisation (RTO). AGA will arrange all training requirements and work closely with you to ensure you are progressing in line with your training plan.

About you:

  • Must be eligible to complete an apprenticeship - an Australian citizen/and or Permanent Resident.
  • Commit to Full Time 4 year apprenticeship.
  • Drivers licence and own car is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to continue learning and developing your skills
  • proactive, reliale and genuinely passioante about heavy machinery/vehicles.
  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training (Paid for by AGA).

What you will do:

  • Assist qualified mechanics with servicing and repairing heavy vehicles, plant, and equipment.
  • Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults.
  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and safety checks.
  • Assist with repairs to engines, steering, suspension, braking, cooling, and fuel systems.
  • Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and a safe work environment.
  • Complete training requirements and attend trade school as required.
  • Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and job documentation.
