Job Description

Junior Graphic Designer

Medifab | Rolleston, Canterbury

Full-time, Permanent

Support our design team by bringing approved creative to life — accurately, consistently, and on brand.

Medifab is a leading distributor of medical equipment solutions (including Spex), dedicated to shaping better lives for the people and communities we serve. We're growing our marketing team and looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join us in Rolleston.

About the role

This is a junior design role, perfect for someone 1–2 years into their design career who enjoys bringing approved creative to life with speed, accuracy and consistency. Reporting to the Communications Manager, you'll assist with the day-to-day rollout of brand-aligned marketing materials across print and digital channels, using established templates and systems.

This role isn't responsible for high-level creative direction or conceptual design work - that sits with our Graphic Designer. Instead, you'll support the team by producing regular, repeatable design outputs efficiently and accurately.

What you'll be doing

  • Producing marketing and brand-related design outputs using established templates and guidelines
  • Assisting with the creation and adaptation of catalogues, advertisements, brochures and collateral
  • Preparing artwork for print and digital use, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Adapting approved creative assets for use across multiple formats and platforms
  • Resizing and formatting content for social media, digital campaigns and other channels
  • Supporting the Graphic Designer in delivering creative outputs to agreed timeframes
  • Maintaining organised file structures and version control
  • Working closely with the marketing team to understand project requirements
  • Applying feedback and revisions accurately
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of design workflows and processes, using templates and systems to streamline production work

What you'll bring

  • A relevant qualification in graphic design or a related discipline
  • 1–2 years' experience in a design or marketing environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and structured processes
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • An understanding of print production processes
  • Familiarity with digital and social media formats

Why Medifab?

We're a values-led team built on loyalty, integrity and genuine care for the people we work with - colleagues and clients alike. We support professional development and believe in doing things properly, together.

  • $50,000–$60,000 NZD per annum (dependent on experience and capability)
  • KiwiSaver employer contribution
  • Full-time, permanent position based in Rolleston
  • Supportive team environment to build your design skills

If you're an organised, detail-focused junior designer ready to support a busy design team within a structured, driven environment, we'd love to hear from you.
