Requirements

proteanTecs is looking for a Junior Firmware / Embedded Software Engineer to join the ride as we spearhead the next revolution in electronics!

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or Computer Science, with a minimum GPA of 87
• Up to 2 years of experience in firmware / embedded / real-time programming (including internships or academic projects).
• Good programming fundamentals and hands-on experience with C and/or C++, including data structures, algorithms, testing and debugging.
• Hard-working, dedicated, and demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Team player with very good communication skills.

Advantages

• Familiarity with Python, Linux-based development environments, and Git.
• An active GitHub profile showcasing relevant projects (e.g., firmware/embedded, C/C++, tooling, or real-time systems).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement firmware / software in C / C++.
• Participate in the full life-cycle development, testing, integration, and deployment of real-time applications.
• Develop systems and tools to maintain, analyze and improve performance, integrity and reliability of existing code.
• Investigate and fix problems in production real-time systems.
