As audit becomes increasingly data-driven, the line between strong financial audit judgement and strong data analytics skills is thinner than ever. That is exactly why we created this dual track.

You will contribute to financial audit engagements and, in parallel, support the Data Audit Team by delivering analytics that strengthen audit quality, consistency, and documentation. Working alongside experienced auditors and data specialists, you will analyze complex datasets, produce structured outputs, and help embed analytics into our audit methodology, developing both your technical and business skills at a fast pace.

For this position excellent Dutch knowledge is required!

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will:

• Collect, structure and process large financial and operational datasets for audit purposes.• Perform data analyses to support risk assessments and audit procedures.• Build audit-ready outputs and visualizations using Excel and Power BI where relevant.• Automate and continuously improve data-driven audit analyses and techniques (e.g., sampling, trend and anomaly detection), turning recurring procedures into scalable, repeatable workflows.• Ensure data integrity by validating the completeness and reliability of client data and documenting key checks and transformations in line with audit quality standards.• Collaborate with audit teams to enable strong, meaningful audit conclusions by designing fit-for-purpose analytics (sector-specific, system-driven, and client-tailored) that address engagement risks and support audit execution.• Act as a key point of contact with client finance stakeholders (e.g., business controllers) and internal data owners to collect the right data, on time, and clarify extraction requirements.• Actively contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the audit data team, including exploring AI-assisted and agent-enabled approaches to strengthen risk assessment and audit execution.

What do you bring to the table?

This role is designed as a dual track. We are looking for candidates who are already strong in either;(Track A) Business economics, Finance or Audit fundamentals(Track B) Data analytics, data engineering; and who can clearly demonstrate a genuine interest in developing the other side. Stronger proficiency across both is a plus.

Track A: Business Economics / Audit-minded profile (your main strength)You are a strong fit if you have most of the following:

• Background in business economics, finance, or audit, and you want to apply it in a more data-driven way. • Interest in audit work and professional rigor: reliability of evidence, traceability, and structured documentation.• Comfortable interacting with client finance stakeholders.• Strong Excel skills (a Power Query / Power Pivot mindset is a plus).• You are curious about data analytics and ready to learn (Power BI, SQL, basic scripting) as part of your growth path.

Track B: Data Analytics / Data Engineering-minded profile (your main strength)You are a strong fit if you have most of the following:

• Background in data analytics, data engineering, applied economics, or a similar quantitative field, and you want to build strong audit and finance fundamentals. • Comfortable with data preparation topics: data quality, cleaning, transformation, and working with large datasets.• Strong Excel skills and interest in Power BI (visuals, modelling).• Proficiency in SQL and Python, or the motivation to learn them quickly. • You are motivated to develop audit understanding and professional judgement, and you enjoy applying analytics to real audit risks and conclusions.

Besides the different tracks we're looking for a candidate who is fluent in Dutch, French and English.
