The Position
We are looking for a JuniorFinancial Analystto maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.
The role involves working closely with the Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analysttoassist them todeliver timely and accurate reporting packages.Ultimately, theresponsibility isto accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.
Responsibilities
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete posting processes within Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains)
Review daily banking transactions and perform timely reconciliations with the General Ledger
Prepare and review bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations, investigate variances, and post necessary adjustments
Prepare journal entries for month-end close, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial statements within established deadlines
Perform analytical reviews, trial balance variance analysis, and assist with preparing monthly commentary and OPEX analysis reports
Identify intercompany differences, investigate root causes, and communicate findings to local accounting teams for resolution
Maintain fixed asset registers, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
Maintain prepaid expense schedules and perform systematic monthly amortization
Calculate, reconcile, and monitor multi-country and multi-currency balances
Prepare and maintain documentation for vendor setup and ensure accurate and timely invoice processing
Maintain accounting systems and reconciliation registers, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records
Assist with quarterly disclosure reporting, templates, and supporting schedules
Generate and maintain complete and accurate accounting records in accordance with IFRS and internal controls
Support and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and documentation of accounting procedures
Work closely with the Director, Managers, Operations team, and other senior stakeholders to support financial and business requirements
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
Finalist / Qualified Professional Accountant or bachelor's degree in Accounting or business administration
Knowledge of multi-currency transactions
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, using excel VLOOKUP and pivot tables in data analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with GP an asset
