Job Description

As a Finance Business Analyst & Reporting Specialist, you will support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Power BI and Tableau reports and dashboards used by business stakeholders across Finance and Operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to deepen their expertise in Business Analysis and Business Intelligence within a dynamic, multinational environment based in Prague.

Working closely with senior BI developers, data engineers, and business users, you will translate reporting requirements into clear, accurate, and user-friendly Power BI and Tableau solutions that drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting, Analytics & Visualization

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements
  • Support enhancements and minor changes to existing Power BI and Tableau reports
  • Apply data visualization best practices to ensure reports are intuitive and actionable
  • Define, document, and validate KPIs, metrics, and reporting logic
  • Validate report outputs and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business expectations

Data Preparation & Modeling

  • Support data modeling activities including relationships, measures, and calculated columns
  • Create and maintain basic DAX measures (aggregations, ratios, simple time intelligence) and Tableau calculations and LODs
  • Use Power Query to clean, transform, and shape data from various sources

Security & Access Support

  • Assist in implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and basic access validation
  • Support Power BI workspace access using Active Directory (AD) groups
  • Follow internal Power BI governance and naming standards

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and other business users to understand reporting and business needs
  • Gather, clarify, and document business requirements for reports, dashboards, and process improvements
  • Translate functional business requirements into clear reporting and analytical solutions with guidance from senior team members
  • Participate in workshops, requirement discussions, and stakeholder meetings
  • Support business process analysis and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
  • Manage and track Power BI reporting deliverables and timelines
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Operations, IT) on requirements and prioritization
  • Support UAT cycles, feedback incorporation, and deployment planning
  • Ensure proper documentation and handover of deliverables

AI & Innovation

  • Support initiatives to integrate AI-driven insights into Power BI dashboards
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies to optimize finance processes and decision-making
  • Collaborate on innovation initiatives such as predictive analytics and intelligent automation

Documentation & Support

  • Document report logic, assumptions, KPIs, and data sources
  • Support Power BI-related tickets including access requests, refresh issues, and small fixes

Adhere to internal BI standards, security policies, and compliance

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on, proven experience with Power BI Desktop
  • Solid knowledge of DAX: SUM, CALCULATE, FILTER, basic time intelligence functions
  • Data modeling concepts: facts, dimensions, relationships
  • Power Query transformations and data shaping
  • Tableau calculations, LOD expressions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas)
  • Basic SQL knowledge is a strong advantage

Languages

  • English – Working proficiency (mandatory)

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Proactive willingness to learn and grow in BI and analytics
  • Effective communication skills with non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative, team-oriented attitude

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) or Data Warehouses
  • Prior experience with Power BI in professional or academic projects
  • Familiarity with Finance or operational KPIs
  • Experience working in a Shared Service Center (SSC) or multinational environment
