Position Title: Junior Estimator - Co-op Student / Intern

Location:Edmonton, AB Corporate office

Status: For a 8-month co-op term (May 4 2026 – January 4 , 2027) . This is a full-time paid position operating Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

About the Position

ATS Traffic has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Estimator to join our business as a Co-op Student! Working closely with our Corporate Estimating and Project Management Team! We seek students who are ambitious, willing to learn and happy to work in a team environment.

You will utilize school theory along with your soft skills to support our team and assist in developing structured process and procedures. Key Accountabilities

  • Participate in structured and on-the-job training to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Project Estimator role. Training activities may include:
    • Researching provincial specifications to ensure regulatory compliance during project execution.
    • Performing detailed quantity take-offs and preparing accurate estimates for both direct and indirect project costs.
    • Responding to pricing inquiries and requests for clarification.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to support estimating activities and project planning efforts.
  • Help with the Identification, evaluation, and tracking of tender opportunities, as well as assist with the preparation and submission of bid proposals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by assisting with assignments aimed at enhancing internal processes and tools.

Qualifications:

Complete 2 or more years of Construction Technology or Engineering Program, such as: Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management.

  • Experience using Bluebeam
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Sharepoint
  • Intermediate level of experience using Microsoft Excel
