Job Description

Our client, a Main Contractor, is seeking a Junior Engineer to join their team on a large residential project in Limerick. This is a long-term opportunity offering strong exposure to a major scheme from an early stage through to completion. The successful candidate will bring a relevant engineering qualification and a willingness to develop within a site-based role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the site management team with day-to-day engineering duties on site.
• Carry out setting out and surveying works using site instrumentation.
• Support quality control checks and inspections across all trades.
• Maintain accurate site records, drawings and as-built documentation.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and the design team on technical queries.
• Assist with material take-offs and quantity checks.
• Support health and safety compliance across the site.
• Help monitor programme progress and report on site activities.
• Contribute to snagging and handover processes as the project progresses.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 0 to 2 years experience, graduate or junior level considered.
• Working knowledge of setting out and site surveying.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn on site.
• Full Irish driving licence.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
