Junior Electrician

Ensure the assigned Maker or Packer machine is operating at good condition with set efficiency and speed by conducting regular cleaning and perform troubleshooting & problem solving to machine stoppages with supervision. Deliver finish products in timely manner with good quality, low cigarettes reject and low cost. Partially assist in electrical trouble shooting and problem solving together with the seniors.

As the Junior Electrician in the area of Production, you will be:

• Responsible to perform minor operational troubleshooting at assigned Maker or Packer Machine of one line to eliminate the minor and regular operational issues with supervision.
• Ensure assigned machine is cleaned in routine as per provided cleaning checklist, DDS directions and deep cleaning activities are to carry out upon completion of production orders with supervisions.
• Responsible to strictly follow the brand change procedures and ensure all the materials are used accurately at the machine according to the product specification with supervisions.
• Responsible to operate Maker or Packer machine of one line at set efficiency and deliver finish goods with good quality, low reject and low cost to ensure zero out of stock with supervision.
• Responsible to perform regular quality checking procedures provided from Quality Department.
• Responsible to fulfil yearly set KPIs related to EEHS, Manufacturing, Production, Engineering and Quality. Example of the KPIs are - OEE, beetle count, quality rating, reject ratio, technical efficiency, MTBF and Zero Out of Stock, etc.
• Responsible to perform shut-down procedures and start-up procedures for long shutdowns by strictly following the provided Check-list & DDS direction from Cell Structure Team CST with supervisions.
• Responsible to record all the machine downtimes inclusive of micro stoppages and register in the GSCA machinery Downtime Entry with less than 5% of variations and human errors.
• Responsible to record all the wastes generated within the shift and register in the GSCA machinery Reject Entry accurately.
• Participate in the implementation of EEHS projects/activities related to machine, equipment and operation by ensuring required works are being performed according to JTI standards, specifications and meeting local regulation and requirements.
• Participate in IWS related activities as per CST guidance and all BOS.
• Assist in IICI deep cleaning activities, maintenance activities, suggestions and 5S3R activities in the plant in term o f electrical and electronic components.
• Partially assist in electrical trouble shooting and problem solving together with the seniors and assist facility equipment during the night shifts.
• Follow the directions from management team to plan, control and manage departmental budget to be in line with plan agreed during ASP period to avoid over and/or under spendings.
• Focus on energy saving opportunity and maintain zero LTI & RI in department by cascading all relevant communications, programs and initiatives from factory Engineering and EHS. Contribute to minimize waste in daily job to safe environment. Participate in tasks /projects/programs and audits associated with ISO, FM Global and other programs including CP, 5S3R initiatives carried out by local and global authorities.

Requirements:

• Degree or its equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronic)
• Minimum 1 year working experience in production with semi-auto machineries
• Maker or Packer machine operation with set KPIs, IICI (beetle prevention and execution), EEHS, 5S3R. Basic electrical knowledge (E.g, Circuit Diagram, Electrical Components and Electrical Repairing Tools)
• Proficiency in Burmese & basic English
