
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs routine electrical maintenance tasks, analyzes and, under supervision, corrects electrical problems at all Department facilities, and services electrical equipment as directed

Reports to IT Network Engineer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Perform routine electrical work
2.Assist in camera service and installation
3.Replace light bulbs and ballasts in overhead lighting throughout facilities
4.Service card readers
5.Such other duties as the Sheriff or designee may assign from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
1. Vocational school training in electrical work
2. 4,000 hours as an apprentice electrician
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Regular, punctual and predictable attendance at assigned workplace and post;
2. Knowledge of, compliance with, and enforcement of Department policies and procedures;
3. Compliance with security procedures;
4. Obey moderately complex oral and written orders;
5. Communicate orally and in writing;
6. Use communication, emergency and other equipment;
7. Lift emergency equipment (e.g. fire extinguisher);
8. Successfully complete annual in-service training;
9. Deal calmly and effectively with stressful situations, including emergencies; and
10. Exercise good judgment.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. sit or stand periodically for 8 hours;
2. lift up to 50 pounds;
3. climb in overhead structures, work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work;
4. carry up to 50 pounds;
5. climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding;
6. walk short distances; and
7. write or type.
