Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 contractor, is currently seeking a Junior Electrical Site Manager for a large-scale solar farm project based in Charleville, Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company delivering high-value renewable energy infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the on-site management of electrical works and ensuring smooth coordination between teams and subcontractors.

To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will have a background in electrical engineering or site management, with strong leadership and organisational skills. A competitive remuneration package is on offer, including:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in managing day-to-day electrical site operations.
2. Coordinate subcontractors and ensure timely execution of electrical works.
3. Monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
4. Support the Site Manager in planning and scheduling activities.
5. Conduct inspections and quality checks on electrical installations.
6. Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
7. Liaise with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of materials.
8. Attend site meetings and contribute to technical discussions.
9. Identify and resolve any issues affecting electrical works on-site.

Requirements:

1. Degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. 1–3 years’ experience in electrical site management or engineering.
3. Strong understanding of electrical systems and renewable energy projects.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project management tools.
