Job Description

If you're looking for an opportunity to grow your skills while working on cutting-edge unmanned ground vehicles and remote operation technologies, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will join our Remote Operating Hardware team, supporting the development and integration of electrical and electronic systems used in Milrem's unmanned ground vehicles. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years of experience who is eager to learn through hands-on engineering work.

What you´ll do:
  • Support the development and integration of electrical hardware for remote operating systems.

  • Build, wire, assemble, and test electrical and electronic systems and prototypes.

  • Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, system validation, and hardware integration.

  • Work with power distribution, control panels, cable harnesses, connectors, communication interfaces, sensors, cameras, displays, and vehicle interface hardware.

  • Read, create, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, embedded software, and field engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions.

  • Support demonstrations, testing activities, and other engineering tasks as needed.

What we're looking for
  • Relevant education in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or a related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience, including internships, student projects, Formula Student, or other hands-on electrical engineering experience.

  • Basic knowledge of DC electrical systems and electrical safety.

  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, wiring, crimping, soldering, testing, or troubleshooting.

  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.

  • A structured approach to documentation and problem solving.

  • Good communication skills in English.

  • Motivation to learn and grow in a multidisciplinary hardware development environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CAN, Ethernet, serial communication, or vehicle electronics.

  • Familiarity with electrical schematic and harness drawing tools

  • Understanding of EMI/EMC principles, grounding, shielding, and cable routing.

  • Experience with automotive, robotics, defense, unmanned systems, or remote operation hardware.

  • Knowledge of safety circuits, emergency stop systems, or ruggedized electrical design.
