Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 contractor, is currently seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer for a large-scale solar farm project based in Charleville, Cork. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading company at the forefront of renewable energy infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of this high-value project, working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.

To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will have a background as an electrician or in electrical engineering, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A competitive remuneration package is on offer, including:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems on-site.
2. Support senior engineers in managing daily site operations.
3. Monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
4. Conduct inspections and testing of electrical components.
5. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for project activities.
6. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
7. Ensure adherence to health & safety and environmental standards.
8. Participate in site meetings and contribute to technical discussions.
9. Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during construction.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. 1– years’ experience in an electrical engineering role/ Electrician, ideally within construction or energy.
3. Strong understanding of electrical systems and renewable energy technologies.
4. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
6. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
