Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Junior Electrical Designer. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Calgary, Alberta.

Worley is seeking an Electrical Designer I to support project teams with drafting and basic design tasks. This is an entry-level role suited for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to develop technical skills under guidance.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of a project team, you will:

  • Prepare electrical drawings including power, grounding, lighting, and heat tracing layouts.
  • Develop single line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams based on provided inputs.
  • Assist with basic electrical calculations under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Support Lead Electrical Designers with administrative tasks such as filing and organizing drawings and documents.
  • Follow company, client, and industry standards in all work.

What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:

  • 0–2 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Basic understanding of electrical drawings and systems.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow direction.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Co-op or summer work experience is an asset.
  • Electrical field experience (e.g., Journeyman) is an asset.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from a recognized institute or Certificate in CAD (AutoCAD or MicroStation) from a recognized institute.
