Our client is a leading organization in the field of digital access to historical records used for genealogy and family research. For more than 25 years, the company has been digitizing and cataloguing billions of archival materials to make family history accessible to anyone interested. With more than 1,400 employees worldwide, the organization continues to grow and is strengthening its digitization team in Germany.
We are currently recruiting for a Junior Digitization Specialist to support the client's ongoing digitization projects. The role is based onsite at the municipal archive in Leipzig, where the successful candidate will take part in converting original historical documents into high-quality digital files.
Responsibilities include preparing archival materials for digitization, working with scanning/photography equipment, producing digital copies, and performing quality control to ensure all files meet required standards. The role also involves cataloguing digital materials and cooperating with team members to maintain workflow efficiency while handling fragile archival sources with care.
This position is well-suited for individuals at the beginning of their career who have an interest in history, genealogy, or archival work and are open to developing new skills. Candidates should be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work accurately both independently and within a team.

The client offers a fixed-term contract for up to two years in a full-time capacity (40 hours per week). Additional benefits include an annual retention bonus, a monthly Wellbeing Allowance, and a range of other internal benefits.
