Digital Channels builds andsupportsBNZ’s Internet Bankingcustomer channels.We’remodernising ourtechnologystackby modularisingour front-end banking applications andmoving toward amicro front-end architecture.

Ninja Turtles istheplatformteamfor our Internet Bankingdevelopmentcommunity The team evolvesandmaintainsthe Internet Banking Shell that brings our micro front ends together, helpingour talentedteamsdeliverhigh-quality features forcustomers.

This isa great opportunityfor a junior front-end developer to join a highly influential team in our Internet Banking community and learn from some of our most experienced and respected Senior Developers.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Wellington. This is a hybrid position with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly.

What are 5dayto day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Design, build and support robust, scalable solutions across theInternet Bankingplatform and related services.
  • Supportplatform stability throughBAU support, production issue analysis, incidentresolutionand root cause remediation.
  • Contribute to technical designand the long-termmaintainabilityof platform components.
  • Improvereliability, performance, deployment quality,monitoringand supportabilitythrough continuous improvement practices
  • Collaborate throughcode reviews, pair programming,feedbackand knowledge sharing.
  • Keep system,supportand architecture documentationaccurate,currentand accessible.

What skillsand experiencearerequiredfor this role?

  • 2 Years practical experience in development and maintenance of technology applications.
  • Front-end development experience / exposure to delivering enterprise applications.
  • Practical experience with REACT, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Exposure to unit testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress.
  • Exposure to building and deploying code via Ci/CD pipeline such as Jenkins.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and designs clearly and concisely.
  • Exposure to Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
