As a Junior Designer - Mechanical, reporting to the Design Office Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the design and development of mechanical and piping components across various infrastructure projects.

The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis at our Brisbane CBD office.

Key duties

• Assist in the development of mechanical designs.
• Create detailed drawings and models of mechanical components.
• Utilise CAD design software to create 2D and 3D models.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, to integrate mechanical designs.

About you

• Cert III Engineering – Completed or In Progress - desirable
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and familiarity with design software
• MicroStation v8i (SS6) experience
• OpenPlant Modeller Connect Edition experience
• SMP experience - desirable
• Tailings pipeline experience
• Coal and Gold experience
• Bowen basin site experience - desirable
