Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Design Coordinator - Infrastructure to join our team! The Junior Design Coordinator - Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the design and development of infrastructure projects. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing timelines, and delivering high-quality designs that meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination:

• Coordinate infrastructure design activities across multiple teams and disciplines.
• Ensure design deliverables align with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Act as the primary point of contact between design teams, contractors, and clients.

Design Management:

• Review and approve infrastructure designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to design teams.
• Identify and resolve design-related issues during the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with engineers, architects, planners, and other stakeholders to develop integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Facilitate communication between internal and external teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct quality checks on design documents and specifications.
• Ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design plans, progress reports, and compliance records.
• Present updates and recommendations to senior management and clients.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in infrastructure design standards and codes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field – Masters degree is preferable.
• Experience:
  • 7 years of relative experience in infrastructure design or project coordination.
  • Proven track record of managing design projects from concept to completion.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure design principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in software design (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP, LEED).
• Experience in sustainable infrastructure design.
• Familiarity with GIS tools and data analysis.
• Familiar with ADQCC Standards

Work Environment

• Office-based with occasional site visits.
• May require travel to project locations.
