About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and business-savvy team member to join our Data Science team in a hybrid role that bridges deep domain expertise with analytical growth. This position is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of our health insurance business—especially claims processing area—and a genuine interest in evolving toward data analytics.

You will work closely with experienced data scientists and analysts, contributing to impactful projects that improve our understanding of claims data, claims patterns, operational efficiency and payment integrity activity. With support from the team and access to advanced tools, you’ll progressively build your analytical skills and grow into a full-fledged data analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a domain expert in projects involving claims, member and provider behaviours, operational processes and payment integrity strategy.
  • Translate business needs into data questions and support the framing of analytical problems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to validate data relevance and interpret model outputs.
  • Assist in preparing datasets for stakeholder needs.
  • Build basic queries for relevant data extractions.
  • Learn and apply basic data analysis techniques under mentorship.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and performance monitoring.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of our expat health insurance business.
  • Experience in claims processing-related roles, with a track record of excellent performance.
  • Critical thinking skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn data tools and analytics.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Basic familiarity with Excel, dashboards, or reporting tools is a plus.
  • Comfort with basic mathematics and statistics is a plus.
  • No coding experience required, but willingness to learn is essential.
