The Junior Cyber Security Analyst is an entry‑level role within the ION Markets Division, supporting the protection of systems, networks, and information assets.

You will work as part of a dedicated security team, gaining hands‑on experience in security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response while developing a solid foundation in enterprise security operations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and potential threats affecting systems and networks

  • Perform threat assessment, vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation follow‑up

  • Operate, configure, tune, and maintain security controls and technologies (e.g. endpoint, network, SIEM, DLP)

  • Conduct threat hunting, alert investigation, triage, escalation, and incident response activities

  • Support vulnerability management processes from detection through remediation and verification

  • Assist with containment, recovery, and post‑incident activities

  • Execute application security activities, including penetration and security testing

  • Maintain and improve security monitoring, logging, and reporting capabilities

  • Support compliance with policies, regulations, audit requirements, and industry best practices

  • Produce and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and operational procedures

  • Deliver business‑as‑usual security operations in line with defined KPIs and SLAs

Your skills, experience, and qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or a related discipline
  • Basic understanding of networks, operating systems, and IT infrastructure
  • Familiarity with security concepts such as:
  • Vulnerability management
  • Incident response
  • Security monitoring and logging
  • Exposure to security tools or platforms (e.g. endpoint security, SIEM, antivirus, firewalls)
  • Willingness to learn scripting or automation basics (e.g. PowerShell, Python)
  • Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly with teammates of varying technical backgrounds
  • Fluent in English (B2)
  • Valid EU work permit for non‑EU candidates
