Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • ND / CMA degree/ Advanced Diploma and 3+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • Minimum 1 year Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing environment
  • Advanced daily movement of stock
  • Exposure to Syspro will be advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Assisting in loading of new bill of materials on SharePoint workflow
  • Assist Cost Accountant to investigate Bill of Material variances between actual manufacturing in the plant vs what is on syspro
  • Controlling of Stock
  • Co-ordinating monthly stock takes and ensuring accurate capturing thereof (this does occasionally occur on a Saturday)
  • Analysing variances and implementing control measures
  • Balancing and checking warehouses
  • Cycle counts
  • Preparation and processing of Stock Adjustments

  • Inventory Transaction
  • Labour and Overhead costing (understanding)
  • Compliance with Legislation
  • Reporting / Analysis
  • Stock take
  • Assist in Stock Codes creation
  • Backflushing and Job receipting
  • Receipting of Supply Chain Transfers
  • Resolving Daily Inventory/System Queries
  • Analytical Reviews
  • Other Ad hoc duties delegated by Cost Accountant
