Junior Controller (Finance & Tax) – Jakarta, Indonesia

Role Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

• Support preparation of management reports and financial analysis.
• Monitor balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Ensure accounting records comply with company policies and Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK).
• Assist in maintaining effective internal controls.
• Support external and internal audits.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze budget variances.
• Support cash flow monitoring and forecasting.
• Prepare financial analysis for management decision-making.

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax and accounting regulations.
• Support statutory reporting requirements.
• Maintain documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.

Tax Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly tax calculations.
• Assist with filing and payment of Indonesian taxes, including VAT (PPN), Corporate Income Tax (PPh Badan), Withholding Taxes (PPh 21, PPh 23, PPh 4(2), PPh 26 as applicable)
• Ensure timely submission of tax returns.
• Maintain tax documentation and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and tax authorities when necessary.
• Monitor changes in Indonesian tax regulations and assess their impact on the business.
• Support tax audits and respond to tax authority requests.

Role Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, controlling, or finance.
• Experience with Indonesian tax compliance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in a multinational company is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian tax regulations, PSAK accounting standards, General accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Brevet A & B Tax Certification, CPA or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification will be considered an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
