As a Junior Content Manager, you will help shape how our products appear across our online shops. You will work hands‑on with product data, texts, and images, making sure our content is accurate, customer‑relevant, and aligned with zooplus content standards.

In this role, you are closely involved in the day‑to‑day content workflow and collaborate with experienced colleagues, internal stakeholders, and external partners. You contribute directly to a consistent customer experience and support sales performance by creating and maintaining clear, compliant, and high‑quality product content This position is well suited for someone who enjoys structured work, content quality, and learning how product content works at scale in e‑commerce.

Your Responsibilities

  • Process all content‑relevant data received from suppliers via Vendor Managers, Brand Managers, and Procurement Managers
  • Monitor and validate orders, product samples, and manufacturer provided data
  • Prepare, enrich, and manage supplier product content (texts, images, videos, etc.) according to zooplus‑specific content guidelines
  • Write and review customer relevant, SEO optimized product descriptions in line with defined content guidelines
  • Create articles in the zooplus shop system and enter supplier‑provided data accurately
  • Brief and coordinate external service providers (e.g. photographers, agencies, AI tools) as required
  • Support communication with local Shop Operations teams regarding international supplier content, ensuring a smooth collaboration and alignment
  • Maintain, review, and continuously optimize existing product content in line with content guidelines
  • Process content correction requests received from Customer Care in a timely and accurate manner
  • Act as an interface to Vendor Management, Brand Management, and Shop Management

Qualifications

  • Completed commercial training or a comparable qualification, or relevant practical professional experience
  • Strong organizational skills and a structured, detail‑oriented way of working
  • Initial experience in an editorial or content‑related environment is an advantage, particularly in editing product information
  • Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel and Word
  • First experience with content management systems, ERP systems, or shop systems is an advantage
  • Good writing skills and the ability to create clear, customer‑relevant, sales‑oriented texts
  • Basic knowledge of image processing and an understanding of visual marketing principles (e.g. image quality, brand consistency) is desirable
  • Very good written and spoken German and good English skills (minimum level C2, corporate language English)
  • High affinity for the internet and e‑commerce, with an interest in pet products
  • Occasional willingness to travel
