Job Description

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a Consultant / Specialist – Hematologist to join its multidisciplinary medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with benign and malignant blood disorders while delivering comprehensive, evidence-based hematology care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of hematological disorders, including anemia, bleeding and clotting disorders, hemoglobinopathies, leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, bone marrow examinations, and other diagnostic tests.
• Administer and monitor hematology treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care where applicable.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pathologists, transfusion medicine specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and long-term follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with quality and patient safety standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• MD / DM / DNB / MRCP / FRCPath or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Hematology.
• Relevant clinical experience in Hematology.
• Strong clinical knowledge in diagnosing and managing hematological disorders.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
