The Investment Performance department within Ortec Finance focuses on the development, sales, implementation and support of PEARL, our performance measurement and attribution software. PEARL enables our clients to conduct in-depth analysis to gain insights into the results of their investment decisions. With colleagues based in Toronto, London, Melbourne, Amsterdam and Rotterdam (our headquarters), our Investment Performance solution continues to attract a growing number of leading investment organizations worldwide. We work with large pension funds, asset managers and other global financial institutions, to provide insight on 4 trillion Euros of assets.
As a consultant in the Global Client Servicing team, you will handle a variety of projects with clients based in Canada, and the UK. Working in collaboration with our institutional client base, communicating our expertise and complex industry concepts, you will assist our clients in conducting analysis using our performance measurement & attribution system, PEARL. This software, tailored to the specific needs of each client, generates investment performance results to enhance their strategic decision making. PEARL also offers in-depth reporting capabilities and workflow support to manage the performance process.

You are a strong communicator, able to interact easily with both colleagues and clients. You possess the drive, skills and creativity needed to analyze clients’ requirements to their core, placing them into the correct context and translating them into accurate development proposals. Also, you understand use cases and the working processes of our clients. With your strong analytical skills, you can get to the core of their requirements and place them in the correct context within the total solution. In addition, the following aspects are important:
You hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in an exact science (e.g. Econometrics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Physics) or business-related field (e.g. Finance or Accounting)
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Good working knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Affinity with databases, financial modeling and/or design of web applications is considered an advantage
The same holds for experience of up to 2 years within the investment industry and with performance measurement or risk management
