We are currently hiring a Junior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our I&E HUB in Lisbon.

This platform serves as the backbone, weaving together multiple layers—from cloud based components to frontend components. The heart of this initiative lies in simplifying complexity. We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive people to be part of the team responsible for kicking off this journey to deliver a secure and stable platform for other applications, brand specific services and developers.

What will your responsibilitites be?

• Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision to ensure the system fits its intended purpose within the autonomous vehicle context
• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions following best practices
• Ensure the efficient operation of data storage and processing functions in line with company security policies and cloud security best practices
• Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
• Regularly review existing systems and recommend improvements
• Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs
• Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives
• Define and evolve system architecture
• Collaborate with different roles and teams to align on architecture topics and evolve the overall product landscape
• Plan and design service ecosystems for future trucks using agile methodologies
• Take ownership of key parts of the technical roadmap
• Advise colleagues and teams on cloud system architecture topics within the autonomous vehicle domain
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of architecture, services, and processes
• Take initiative and proactively drive improvements and solutions

What requirements are we looking for?

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable professional experience
• Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
• Experience in individual software development and the necessary tools and infrastructure, such as networks and equipment
• Relevant experience in the conception and implementation of complex software solutions in an international context
• Agile and DevSecOps mindset
• Solid experience with Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles, as well as common software design patterns, with a focus on quality, maintainability, and usability
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
• Experience with the SAFe framework is a plus
• Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus
• Proficient knowledge of cloud-based services and tools (AWS is a plus)
• Good understanding of cloud paradigms such as Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), PaaS, alerting, and monitoring
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices
• Knowledge of Python (Flask) is a plus
• Knowledge of a programming language (preferably Java) and proven software development skills is a plus
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken
