Within the GDC Division, the Analytics, Insights and Reporting (AIR) tribe supports the needs of data services for all the entities of the Euroclear Group. As a competency centre for analytics, the team helps to transform data into insight using techniques such as text mining, process mining, network analytics or predictive modelling.

Your role as a Junior Cloud Engineer would be to build innovative solutions that rely on cloud technologies to bring value to Euroclear as a data and insights-driven company.

In order to reach these objectives, you will:

  • Analyze requirements from your business stakeholders and develop solutions/program logic that fulfil those requirements, delivering new applications or modifying existing ones, specifically on the Azure Cloud
  • Code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications in your domain
  • Actively contribute to the evolution of the cloud development practice at Euroclear in terms of insights, components, technique
  • Contribute to maturing new ideas (products, technical components, …) whether as proofs of concepts or as actual developments that are meant to become part of our production toolkit.

Profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Engineering or comparable qualification.
  • Azure Cloud engineering (Data Lake, ADF, Key Vault, Functions, etc.)
  • Databricks Spark (structured streaming, performance tuning)
  • SQL (advanced modelling and optimisation)
  • Python
  • Java or Scala (nice to have but highly valued)
  • Power BI (nice to have but highly valued - datasets reports)

Will be considered as a plus

  • Kubernetes knowledge (deployment, orchestration, scaling)
  • Experience in lakehouse architectures
  • Interest in UX/data storytelling

  • Eager to work with both technical and business aspects of the job with challenging and technical concepts
  • Able to learn quickly, adjust to changes and think outside the box
  • Ready to work on different environments or contexts (back-end/front-end, API, Big Data, authentication, …)
  • Client focused and delivery-oriented
  • Able to explain complex concepts in a simplified manner
  • A good team player
  • A problem solver (you recognize underlying issues and problems; you analyze root causes and define solutions accordingly)
  • Accurate, acting with attention to details
  • At ease in a fast-changing environment
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
