Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the supervision and coordination of civil construction activities across project sites.
  • Assist in interpreting and reviewing engineering drawings, designs, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Support the monitoring of project progress, materials, workmanship, and quality of construction activities.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and identify construction issues, defects, or deviations for appropriate resolution.
  • Assist with measurements, quantity take-offs, material requirements, and basic cost estimates.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders as required.
  • Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation.
  • Support the preparation of project updates and reports for management and project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements on project sites.
  • Assist in identifying potential project risks, delays, and technical issues and escalate them appropriately.
  • Perform other engineering and project-related duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Practical exposure to construction site supervision and project execution.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings, specifications, measurements, and construction documentation.
  • Membership of or progress toward membership of a relevant professional engineering body is an advantage.Good understanding of civil engineering and construction principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and technical specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, quality control, and site practices.
  • Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Proactive, organized, and willing to learn.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional standards.
