Whether you’re finishing Year 12, recently left school or studying Civil Drafting at TAFE, this is your opportunity to get started in the engineering industry.

STP Consultants is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Civil Draftsperson to join our growing Brisbane team. You’ll work alongside experienced civil engineers and drafters, gain hands-on experience and learn how the drawings you create become part of real projects across Queensland.

You don’t need years of experience. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn.

The Opportunity

As you develop your skills, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Assist with preparing civil drawings, plans and project documentation.
• Work with engineers and experienced drafters to produce clear, accurate and high-quality drawings.
• Learn industry standards, guidelines and best-practice drafting processes.
• Develop your understanding of how civil engineering projects are designed and delivered.
• Participate in project discussions and meetings to build your understanding of project requirements.
• Carry out basic drawing and documentation checks with guidance from experienced team members.
• Take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence develop.

About you:

You could be a great fit if you are:

• A Year 12 student, recent school leaver or currently studying Civil Drafting at TAFE.
• Genuinely interested in civil drafting, design and engineering.
• Curious and keen to learn new skills.
• Detail-oriented and take pride in producing accurate work.
• A good communicator who is comfortable asking questions and taking feedback.
• Reliable, organized and willing to have a go at new challenges.
• Someone who enjoys working with others and being part of a team.
• An Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
