Apt Resources is seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior Chef specializing in Sushi to join the culinary team at a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel in the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in Japanese cuisine within a high-end hospitality environment. The successful candidate will assist in preparing fresh and authentic sushi dishes adhering to the hotel’s high standards and guest expectations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of sushi and other Japanese dishes following established recipes and techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station to ensure hygiene and safety standards.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation tasks.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality.
- Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Help manage inventory and stock levels to avoid waste.
- Contribute positively to the kitchen team, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.
- Stay up-to-date with sushi trends and culinary techniques.
Requirements
- Previous experience or training in Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation.
- Passion for food and a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
